This image is one of a series entitled Axis of Evil & Weapons of Mass Distraction'. This is in reference to the controversial most wanted Iraqi' playing cards issued by the US military to promote the American Crusade against the people of Iraq. Every time I hear Bush's rhetoric I think of the little Iraqi boy with his arms blown off by American troops, or the contents of a girl's skull oozing out on to the desert sand with her dead eyes looking onto a futile battlefield. I also think of the soldier's mother learning that her son or daughter will be coming home in a body bag. For what? In this McCarthyesque era of fear mongering and racism, it seems that due process has been conveniently put aside. What happened to the idea that you are innocent until proven guilty? Or does that concept apply only to non Arab Americans? Why is the concentration camp in Guantanamo correct, where 650 individuals have been kept without council or visitation rights since 2001? Shame, shame! Bush is a war criminal and by default, all Americans are equally guilty whether you endorse his administration or not. I used to think that America was the greatest nation on earth. I no longer buy into that hype. It is more and more obvious to me that the pursuit of of the 'American Dream' is, in reality, at the expense of others in the world, making it everyone else's nightmare. I firmly believe that much of the evil in the world is found in the American White House and that the liberties and freedoms of the world are being eroded by this heinous, warmongering juggernaut." |
